Leicester born, Joe Beaumont-Howell is a performance poet, spoken word artist and storyteller. Starting out shouting poems in pubs, Joe has since worked with organisations such as Roundhouse where he is an active artist resident, BBC 1Xtra and has performed in venues up and down the country.
By day, Desree devotes her time to theatre, arts marketing and community arts but after 6pm (let’s say 7pm because of traffic), Desree is a poet.
An advocate for community arts, Desree began a night called #OMN in 2014 in her home town of Slough. It was started with the aim of giving individuals of all ages and skills, opportunities and essentially encouragement. It was at #OMN that Desree performed on stage for the first time. Now armed with a poetry book and an outlandish sense of humour, Desree has featured at events in and around London and has also been granted the opportunity to share her work up and down the UK.

"Jay Hulme is undoubtedly someone to watch. His talent is raw, fresh and new - and very exciting." Anthony Stewart Head (actor)
